Endurance sports are unlike any other. Certainly to the new athlete, they command instant respect in their length and time. But for experienced endurance athletes, the events become more “common” and “normal” in their minds. This makes perfect sense as these athletes have learned that the boundaries that once held back their dreams can be knocked down and rebuilt. They’ve learned that they truly have no idea how far they can go. This idea that no one knows their limits is what continually allows them to believe that they can improve, excel and achieve – and it permeates throughout the rest…
