Identity: A Book Review of Atomic Habits

Have you ever started reading a book and had to stop in the middle to really mull something over? That happened to me recently.

I saw the book Atomic Habits on Amazon, read some reviews, and hit “order.” As soon as I started reading the book, I knew this would be a valuable read.

For endurance athletes thinking about their “why,” this would be a hugely important read. From making changes one at a time to understanding perhaps the most important thing: why do you train?

You and I train not just because we race but, more importantly, because training is what athletes do!

Author James Clear points out that what we do is what we identify as. When we identify as an athlete, we behave like an athlete. We don’t train to train; we train because that is what athletes do.

I am still reading Atomic Habits. Why don’t you join me on this journey for a great read and a great 2023 and beyond?
