Dear Santa, please bring me a...
Coach Mark 🌍🚐
I would like to take my Angel (Jennifer) to Scandinavia (Denmark, Norway, Sweden) in the summer and rent a van to camp and MTBs to ride.
Coach Kelly 🍽👩🏽🍳
Top of my list would be one of those meal delivery services like Territory Foods or Sprinly because I’m a terrible cook and it helps so much to keep my week on track when meal prep is done!
Coach MarkT 🏝🏠
A beach house.
Coach Laura 🏊♀️🌏✈️
I would like a 50-meter heated swim lane in my backyard that can be used year-round that includes all electricity and maintenance costs. I hate the logistics of going to the pool, and 50-meter pools are better than 25-yard or 25-meter pools!!
If I can't get that, I will settle for all-inclusive, paid-for trips to the seven continents to get a marathon in on each continent. This could be given as seven separate trips, or someone could give me the World Marathon Challenge. I am not picky.
Coach Becky 🚲
Coach Maria ✈️⚠️🛌
A fully-funded, never ending subscription to Net Jets or similar charter flight company. That way if I wanted to go do something, I could just get on the plane and go. Friends and athletes want to do a race in a crazy place? No problem - I'll get you in the plane and off we go.
I'd also like to eradicate road rage aimed at cyclists and have the roads have safe bike lanes - not that crazy washboard crap I always end up on that's 'called' a bike lane.
Oh and to sleep through the night, every night. Sounds so simple......
Coach Gregg ⏰🤗
More time with my family
Coach Allen ⚙️💰
A billion dollars. Then I could give you all what you want as well.
Bicycle safe roads where you can ride from anywhere to anywhere without fear of cars.
Or more realistically, Ceramic Speed Oversized Pulleys
Coach Adam (December 25th is his birthday!)🏆🎂
A win, which I will get at the “Just for the Sczech of it” event.

training with Coach Laura Henry
In 2015, as I was getting ready for a father-daughter dance, my daughter asked me, “Dad, when are you going to have that baby?” She was six years old.
I took a real good look in the mirror for the first time in a long time and I hated what I saw. I knew it was time for a change. One year later I finished the Hudson Crossing sprint distance triathlon and I was hooked for life on this sport.
Also, as a great side effect, my daughter got hooked as well and has completed two kids triathlons herself. She’s is also my toughest coach and best motivator now!
Some people say I’m suffering from Peter Pan syndrome. I politely correct them by saying I’m not “suffering“ because I’m 100% enjoying every last minute of it!
SURVIVE AND THRIVE
published December 17, 2019
Yes, injuries can happen. But injuries provide opportunities to focus on other important areas in athlete success, writes USA Triathlon Certified Coach Laura Henry. Focusing on what we can do (versus on what we cannot do) provides a more positive mindset and allows you to not only survive, but also thrive during your injury.
