The vast majority of us (athletes or not) do not get enough sleep. We talk a great deal about it, but we rarely DO anything about it. Now is the time to start!
I understand all the anxieties and worries that many of us currently face. They may be very disruptive to already less-than-ideal sleep patterns. And therein lies the most significant opportunity for us to rewire our sleep patterns.
Strongman is an intriguing sport. It's very viewer-friendly and surprisingly useful for cross-training. Similar to Crossfit, Strongman is a "Functional Movement" sport. In fact, in some circles, Crossfit is called Baby Strongman.
As a person that focuses on IRONMAN distance races, I can go swim 4000 meters comfortably, but my shoulder fatigues trying to change a light bulb. I realized that while my triathlon muscles are in great shape, my other muscles are very neglected.
Jeff Davis completed this incredible feat, running 5 miles every 4 hours for 24 hours!

We might not be chasing "real" finish lines these days, but we are so proud of how our athletes continue to work toward their goals. Races will resume and our goal is to be stronger, healthier, and faster than ever!

Team MPI Group Zwift Ride
Join athletes and coaches for a weekly virtual group ride!
When: Tuesday, May 5, 2020
Time: Zoom starts at 6 pm, the Zwift ride starts at 6:30 pm sharp
Join a virtual group bike workout with Team MPI athletes and coaches!
Because Zwift doesn't quite support group structured workouts, there are a few extra steps you'll need to take to join the party. Here's how:
1. Follow Coach Kelly Ryan in the Zwift companion app and send her a note so she can add you.
2. Coach Kelly will invite you to the ride and you can "join" the meetup on Zwift
3. While you're spinning, waiting for the group to start, click Menu, and select the workout (this week's workout TBD).
4. You should now be back with the group, waiting for the workout to begin.
The Zwift workout will start at 6:30 pm EST. The Zoom call will begin at 6 pm. Contact Coach Kelly for the Zoom link to join the event!
