Multisport Performance Institute, Inc (DBA "Team MPI", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and strives to earn and keep your trust.
This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in Team MPI. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.

Our privacy policy
This Privacy Policy tells you what information we collect, how we protect it and what choices you have about how that information is used. Most information collected is to enable us to best meet the needs of our athletes, as sports participants, in a highly customized and responsive manner, however we may also use collected information for business reasons, such as analytics, evaluation of the website, improvement of the website, and other uses set forth herein.

By using this website, submitting a form, subscribing to our newsletter or purchasing a program, you agree to this Privacy Policy. You can change your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie banner, and you can withdraw consent as described below.
Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to provide our coaching services and run this website:

Contact details: name, email address, phone number and mailing address you provide.

Coaching information: goals, training and racing history, and health or fitness information you choose to share through our Free Coach Consultation form or Athlete Questionnaire.

Account and purchase information: your site member account, the programs or plans you purchase, and purchase history. Card and payment details are entered on and processed by our payment processor. We do not see or store full card numbers.

Messages: anything you send through our contact form or by email.

Site usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and time on site, collected automatically by our website platform.
How we collect the information
We collect information when you fill out a form, subscribe to our newsletter, register for Coach Talk or an event, purchase a program, create a member account, or contact us. Site usage information is collected automatically when you visit the site, subject to your cookie choices.
Why we collect personal information
We use your information to:

send our weekly newsletter, Musings from a Coach, if you subscribe;

How we store, use and share information
Our website is hosted on Wix.com, which stores site data on secure servers. We share personal information only with the service providers listed below, and only as needed to run our services. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
All payment processing through our site meets PCI-DSS standards, which govern the secure handling of card information.
Third party services
We use these providers to operate our services. Each handles your information under its own privacy policy:

Wix.com: website hosting, forms, member accounts, pricing plans, checkout and email newsletters.

Our payment processor (through Wix checkout): payment processing.

Google (Google Workspace): email, and secure storage of athlete questionnaire responses and coaching records.

Zoom: Coach Talk and video coaching sessions.

Training platforms (such as Intervals.icu): coached athletes’ workout plans and training data, shared only with athletes we coach.
Some pages include links to partner sites, such as EO SwimBETTER or Giordana. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
Email and newsletter
If you subscribe to Musings from a Coach, we use your name and email to send it. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by emailing coaches@teamMPI.com. We do not sell or rent our email list.
Cookies
This site uses cookies set by our website platform, Wix, to keep the site working, remember your preferences and measure site traffic. When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site. How long we keep this information
We keep contact and coaching information while you’re working with us and for 7 years afterward, for records and accounting. Newsletter information is kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, except where we must keep it by law, such as for tax records.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information.
To make a request, email coaches@teamMPI.com. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Minors
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
We occasionally coach athletes under 18. In those cases, a parent or legal guardian enrolls the athlete, provides and manages the athlete’s information, and may review or ask us to delete it at any time by emailing coaches@teamMPI.com.
How to withdraw consent
To stop us from processing your information, or to close your account, email coaches@teamMPI.com or write to Team MPI, 918 N Haines St, Boise, ID 83712. To stop receiving the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any issue.
Privacy policy updates
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
