2012 Jubilee Kid's Triathlon

When: Sunday, June 3rd, start time 7:30am
Where: Fairhope City Pier / Park, Fairhope, AL

 

MPI will hold it's second annual Jubilee Kids Triathlon on Sunday, June 3rd at 7:30am at the beautiful Fairhope Municipal Pier in Fairhope, Alabama.  

Proceeds from this event will go to Page & Palette Foundation. The money used from this fundraiser will fund a fitness trail in Fairhope, AL.  This is a SWIM, BIKE, RUN race for kids ages 7-15 (age is determined by child's age on December 31 of 2012).

 

 

NOTE:  As per USA Triathlon Youth Rules:

1. No aero bars on bike
2. No aero helmets allowed
3. No discs wheels allowed

Weekend for the Family

This event takes place just one day after The Grandman Triathlon adult race also at the Fairhope Municipal Pier.  It's a perfect weekend of racing for the ENTIRE FAMILY!

 

 

Age Groups:

Ages of participants will be 7-15 yrs old with 4 separate age groups.*

*(Age categories are based by athlete age on Dec. 31, 2012)

 

Wave One - Start 7:30am

Ages 13-15: "Mullets"
Ages 11-12: "Flounders"

 

Wave Two - Start ~8:15am

Ages 9-10: "Crabs"
Ages 7-8: "Shrimps"
 

 

Course Distances:

Wave Two:  Swim 150 yrds, bike 3 miles, run 1 mile
Wave One:  Swim 75 yrds, bike 1 mile, run .5 miles

 

 

Race Time Line:

6:15am – Transition Opens
7:15 – Transition Closes
7:30 – Wave 1 Starts
~8:15 – Wave 2 Starts
9:00 – Race Finish (or when last athlete finishes)
9:00 - 10:30 Awards – Transition Open, Bike & Gear Pickup
9:00 - 10:30 – Post Race Party

 

Awards

• Each Athlete gets a Finisher Medal

• Each Athlete gets a Race T-Shirt

• Awards will be given 3 deep to each age group for Male and Female

 

REGISTRATION closes Saturday, June 2nd at 12pm noon.

 

• There is NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. 
• NO PACKET PICKUP on RACE DAY.
• PACKET PICKUP IS FRIDAY 11am-7pm and SATURDAY after Grandman 9am-12pm at Fairhope Municipal Pier (race site).

May 28th - Jun 2nd    $55*    LATE REGISTRATION

* All participants MUST be a USAT member. 2012 USAT Membership for children under 17 is $15 for one year or $10 for single day pass.
